Working Holidays Overseas for Australians

Australia has reciprocal working holiday visa programs with many countries. All countries have the same basic requirements. However, there are a few extra requirements if you want to have an extended working holiday in Argentina, Bangladesh, Chile, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Turkey, the USA or Uruguay. What's New for Tourist and Visitor Visas

Visitor and Medical Treatment visa changes

From 23 March 2013 the government intends to introduce significant changes to the Visitor and Medical Treatment visas. These changes are subject to the approval of the Governor-General in Council. See: Visitor & Medical Treatment visas


Longer Tourist visas for parents of Australians

Since 24 November 2012, parents of Australian citizens, permanent residents and eligible New Zealand citizens have been able to apply for Tourist (Subclass 676) visas to visit Australia for longer.

Sponsored Family Visitor (subclass 679) – Cut off date for December holiday period

The cut-off date for making Sponsored Family Visitor visa applications for travel to Australia during the December holiday period was 2 November 2012.
